Here’s a wee poem I wrote in reply to a prompt on a website I follow. The challenge: Assonance. I put the link to the post on Brian Vos’s blog below my poem, in case you want to have a look.
Cosmic Morse Code
The light of a dead star
still sparkles in my night sky,
relentlessly spelling messages
into the darkness of destiny.
I don’t speak sun.
I know it reads:
Sing your song,
even if nobody listens.
Your story will find a home,
one day.
I enjoyed reading this one. It made me think of how all these posts are sent out without knowing when they will be seen and by who.

Thanks, Brian. And thanks for the prompt. I’m looking forward to the next one.
