Dreams, by Britta Benson

Dreams for beginners,

special effects, glitter,

a Las-Vegas-style late show,

bigger and bolder.

Advanced dreamers

scale down the plot

to the bone:

Seeing my dad

after years of Covid-19,

sitting together on the sofa,

watching football on TV,

shouting at the ref

in my mother’s tongue.

My dream come true.

    1. Thanks, Terveen. Just a wee poem… I’ve nearly completed my 365 poems in 365 days challenge and you may have guessed that I won’t stop there! I like writing my daily poem. Some are good, some not so much so, some average, but a few of my poems, I really like. This one, I guess, is an average or slightly under par one, still, I wrote my daily poem and I like it for that!
