This poem was written in response to this week’s W3 poetry prompt. 16 lines or less, the first and the last line have to be the same. Here’s the link if you want to read the full description: https://skepticskaddish.com/2022/05/25/w3-prompt-4-weave-written-weekly/

Let the mud sink

Let the mud sink,

nourish your soul.

Don’t stir,

what wants to fall,

grow heavy,

rest.

Allow sediment to settle,

where it’s needed the most.

Remember,

mess on mess,

layers of experience,

dirt,

just another word

for fertile soil.

Please,

let the mud sink.
