Here’s my response to Sammi Cox’s Weekend Writing Challenge. This week, the prompt is ‘brevity’, in twelve words. You can read her full blog post here: https://sammiscribbles.wordpress.com/2022/06/25/weekend-writing-prompt-265-brevity/
Somehow this made me think of the life expectancy of bubbles… and humans. Similar, although admittedly not quite the same.
Bubble or human
Life.
Brave story
of iridescent
wastefulness,
in the face of
ridiculous
brevity.
I love what this has got
verbosity it’s not!

Wonderfully done. I wanted to go this route but my words did not come!

Thanks, Dale. If your words just didn’t come, then maybe you’ve taken the brevity prompt to the extreme…

Just read yours! ‘Trim the fluff’ – perfect! That should be every writer’s mantra!!! You made very good use of your twelve words. Brilliant!
