So, I’ve got a new ‘thing’, I make paper cairns, paper poetry cairns and I am enjoying this burst of creativity tremendously.
You can read a little more about it in my other blog, (https://brittasblog422041504.wordpress.com/2022/06/28/poetry-cairns/)
What’s next? Not sure, perhaps a whole landscape.
I like the fact that the cairn poem can be read, discovered, in various ways and from various angles. It’s a bit of a ‘hey presto, I made this, now you can unravel the lot and find out what’s in there’.
Expect more poetry cairns in the coming weeks. I like to play with words and I find more and more, that I am becoming a mixed media writer and that I enjoy the craft element of it very much. I like making things.
Got to get back to my table full of paper and glue sticks… To be continued…
This is lovely Britta 🌹.Of course I love the build of of stones visually .And I love the various ways that they can be read. I also imagined them tumbling down on top of each other ,only partial words read . Or it would be nice to see them floating down a river ,drifting past revealing a word or two to yhr onlookers.Ir tied to various majestic trees in a forest .Would the squirrels learn English and read them too 😃

Oh, you’ve given me lots of ideas here for future projects. I am also inspired by your actual painted stones. Had lots of fun cutting out shapes. My living room is a mess now. But a happy mess.

It’s not so much a question of me sticking to my work… I think my work is sticking to me… Must work on my glue etiquette.
