You already know, by Britta Benson

You already know

You already know
that it’s summer,
ice cream and swimming,
everything lighter, brighter,
the time of your life.

You already know
why you’re here,
what you want,
where to go,
you already know.

Knowing only half the battle.

Knowing mocks you,
stares you straight in the face,
unless you follow it up
with doing, doing, doing.
