Here’s my response to Colleen’s Tanka Tuesday Challenge over at http://www.wordcraftpoetry.com (https://wordcraftpoetry.com/2022/08/23/tankatuesday-weekly-poetry-challenge-no-286-8-23-22-themepromp/).

This week, the theme is ‘Lessons from nature‘. I chose to write an etheree. The poem seemed to naturally flow that way.

Friendly advice from nature

Be
tidal,
seasonal,
let come go, grow,
change and develop.
Respect rest, hibernate.
Accept darkness, allow light,
make room for patience, grief and joy,
so that you can understand summer.
Once you don’t own anything, it’s all yours.
