I do like a bit of blackout poetry. Here’s an accidental piece. A couple of days ago, I bought a multipack of socks and the lady at the checkout gave me a ‘customer feedback’ ticket. Well, what can I say? On the bus journey home, I got busy…

please choose to be a chance win experience serve
Regular readers of my poetry blog know, that I write a poem every day. I never promised anyone a good poem every day. So I guess, this is one of my wee experiments, just to have a little fun.
PS: A piece of life writing got published today on Chewers & Masticadores. You can read it here: https://masticadoresindia.wordpress.com/2023/07/01/theres-no-after-school-club-for-the-moons-of-jupiter-by-britta-benson/

But did you send your feedback in, Britta? You have to, if you haven’t so far!

Oh, Margaret, I stumbled at the first hurdle of customer feedback… ‘scan the barcode’. Also, I’m not sure they’d supply a box for poetic feedback.

Hadn’t thought of that! But why not end a poem with the instruction to ‘serve’ as in tennis. It’s nearly Wimbledon season! Bring out the strawberries and cream!
